KidsPark Advisory Committee

What is KPAC?

The KidsPark Advisory Committee (KPAC) is a board of member parents that oversees the co-operative aspects of KidsPark. The involvement of member families is essential for the KidsPark model to thrive, and we want to make sure we’re hearing from our members at every step of the way. 

KPAC Positions

Executive Director – Oversees the governance of the co-op and KPAC. This includes determining the budget, designing the fundraising plan, creating the co-op job opportunities, and coordinating with the teachers, as well as running the KPAC board meetings. In conjunction with the other board members, determines the strategy for future growth at KidsPark. 

Fundraising Coordinator – Responsible for running the fundraising plan for KidsPark. This includes writing grant proposals, planning fundraising events, and overseeing the fundraising volunteers.

Outreach Coordinator – Responsible for increasing membership and community awareness of KidsPark and its mission. This includes planning various advertising and community events, as well as overseeing the outreach volunteers.

Community Building Coordinator – Responsible for maintaining and increasing member family involvement in KidsPark. This includes overseeing the Welcome Committee, overseeing social events at KidsPark, and coordinating the community building volunteers.

Communication Coordinator – Responsible for informing the membership of the goings on at KidsPark. This includes overseeing the newsletter and web site updates, and the minutes of KPAC meetings.

Facilities Coordinator – Responsible for coordinating the cleanings, repair work, and other needs of the physical plant of KidsPark.

Technology Coordinator – Responsible for maintaining the current computers and web sites used at KidsPark, and determining the direction and plan for future technology endeavors.

 

How to Get Involved

In order to be considered for a position on the KPAC board, individuals must be current members of the KidsPark co-op and involved in the KidsPark community as a member in good standing.
